Webinar: Exploring AI Developer Tools for OpenEdge

5 February 2026

Join us for our next webinar on February 5th, 2026!

Exploring AI Developer Tools for OpenEdge: Windsurf, Claude Code, Google Antigravity & Co.

Modern AI developer tools are changing how enterprise applications are understood, extended, and modernized. In this webinar, Mike Fechner gives a practical overview of today’s most relevant AI-assisted development tools - including Windsurf, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, and other emerging solutions - with a clear focus on OpenEdge development.

You’ll learn how these tools can help when working with large and long-lived OpenEdge codebases, for example by supporting:

  • faster code comprehension and analysis

  • refactoring and modernization tasks

  • generation of ABL-related artifacts

  • reasoning across complex application structures

A key part of the session is understanding where these tools work well - and where they don’t. We’ll look at limitations, context handling, model strengths, and how well different tools integrate into editors and IDEs.

What we will cover:

  • Core architectural concepts behind modern AI developer tools

  • Tool and model comparison for code understanding, refactoring, and AI-assisted development

  • Practical patterns and best practices for OpenEdge developers and architects

This webinar is designed for OpenEdge developers, software architects, and technical leads who want to evaluate AI-assisted tools realistically and apply them effectively in professional environments.

As the first session in our 2026 AI webinar series, it sets the stage for deeper technical follow-up sessions throughout the year.
