Should I be able to use a query string like the following?

    SUBSTITUTE ("FOR EACH eVendorProduct WHERE eVendorProduct.VendorNum = &1 AND LOOKUP (&2,eVendorProduct.Options) = &3",
                               dVendorNum,
                               QUOTER (3),
                               0
                               ).

I get the following error. It looks like the parens is causing an issue for me.

** Unable to understand after -- "Options ) AND". (247)

** Cannot understand expression involving AND operator. (249)

    PREPARE syntax is: {FOR | PRESELECT} EACH  OF.. WHERE ... etc". (7324)

    Prepare-String: FOR EACH VendorProduct WHERE VendorProduct.VendorNum = 1000 AND LOOKUP ( "3" , VendorProduct.Options ) AND = 0 BY VendorProduct.VendorNum BY VendorProduct.ProductNum INDEXED-REPOSITION

    Client-Query: FOR EACH eVendorProduct WHERE eVendorProduct.VendorNum = 1000 AND LOOKUP ("3",eVendorProduct.Options) = 0 BY eVendorProduct.VendorNum BY eVendorProduct.ProductNum

    Default-Query: FOR EACH VendorProduct INDEXED-REPOSITION
